SUMMER RESIDENCY 2026

In Drew Dodge’s paintings, part human part canine figures often take part in suggestive activities, bathed in moonlight, in desert landscapes or perhaps in the setting of a ranch. An impression of tenderness and a peculiar eroticism emerge from the physical relationships between beings and objects. By softening the bristly texture of his colorful creatures, Dodge summons a balance between chaos, ecstasy, pleasure and pain. His masterful works bring together three artistic traditions: Religious painting from the European Renaissance and its powerfully structured pictorial spaces and intertwining bodies; American desert mysticism and its powerful symbolism; the cartoon, with its strange and seductive mix of animal and human characters.

Drew Dodge (b. 2001, Monterey, California, USA) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He recently graduated as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Art and Design in Providence. His already acclaimed work has featured in several exhibitions in the USA and Europe.

Antonio Vidal is a painter born in Mexico City (1996), currently he lives and works in New York City.

Vidal's work encompasses a temporal breadth that is reflected in his pictorial process, applying several layers of acrylic paint that he dilutes and allows to slowly drip onto the canvas, creating textures that blur the boundaries between planes and bodies. A post-extractivist logic could associate these material incidents in the paintings with acid rain, fossil fuel spills, the appearance of greenhouse gases, and a disappearing biosphere.

His work has been featured in group exhibitions in Mexico, Italy, and the United States, including the VI JA Monroy Biennial at the University of Guadalajara (2022), Arte Vivo at the Museum of Modern Mexican Art (2023), REA Art Fair, Milan (2023), Hidden Narratives at Wonzimer (MODA) in Los Angeles (2024), and Currents at SK Gallery in New York (2024), among others. Antonio had his first solo exhibition in the US at MAMA Projects in New York (2024) and presented his first solo exhibition in Mexico at General Expenses in 2025.

Antonio Vidal holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the California College of the Arts in 2020. There he received the Creative Achievement Award (2016) and the Curator's Award (2020). Antonio's work has received a number of publications and awards, including the Innovate Grant (2023) and the Hopper Prize (2024). He received a Frankenthaler Award at Columbia University, where he earned his Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in 2025.

Zoe Koke is a Canadian artist based in Los Angeles.
Her recent body of work traces the gradation of light as day gives way to night.

Grounded in touch and guided by intuition, her process unfolds as a conversation between material and perception. The paintings evolve through chance and serendipity, allowing form to emerge rather than be imposed. For Koke, painting is both intimate and vulnerable, a practice of stillness and surrender within the flux of
time.

Influenced by a childhood spent in nature and by the independent women in her family, a lineage of curiosity spanning geology, archaeology, and theology, her work carries a quiet reverence for the natural world and the unseen forces that shape it. Koke’s paintings become meditations on consciousness and transformation, offering spaces where light, memory, and awareness converge, and where the viewer is invited to linger in the unfolding of perception itself

Zoe Koke (b. 1989, Calgary; lives and works in Los Angeles) received an MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles (2019), and a BFA from Concordia University, Montréal (2013). Juana Subercaseaux es una artista chilena radicada en Ciudad de México. Sus últimas obras entrelazan una perspectiva femenina con aspectos íntimos, místicos, efímeros y espirituales de la naturaleza. Combina formas abstractas con símbolos orgánicos, emergiendo de un ámbito profundamente personal y difuminando las fronteras entre lo tangible y lo imaginado.

A través de sus obras, Juana explora el poder evocador y subjetivo de una naturaleza ambigua, sugiriendo algo más: un signo, un estado de transición, una delicada sensación de transitoriedad, misterio o ensueño, planteando preguntas que no están destinadas a ser respondidas.

Sus exposiciones internacionales incluyen OMR, Ciudad de México (2024), MAPA, Argentina (2023), Instituto Telearte, Chile (2023), Troy Art House, Reino Unido (2023), entre otras.

Elmer es un artista radicado en Los Ángeles. Nació y creció en el sur de Los Ángeles y tiene herencia salvadoreña. Su obra ha sido expuesta en Estados Unidos y en toda Europa. Elmer está representado por la galería Charlie James en Los Ángeles y actualmente presenta una exposición individual en Nueva York con Lyles and Kings.

A través de su arte, Elmer captura la esencia de los lazos familiares y el espíritu de su comunidad, utilizando una mezcla de pinturas, obras de medios mixtos y dibujos.
